Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan Rings in 21 Years with a Bang
Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan celebrated its 21st Foundation Day at Science City Auditorium, Kolkata, with a grand event featuring distinguished guests and a special performance by motivational speaker Sonu Sharma. The school reaffirmed its commitment to holistic education and future-ready global citizenship.
They say time flies when you’re having fun — and judging by the splendid shindig at Science City Auditorium today, Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan has been having a right old knees-up for the past 21 years! The esteemed institution marked its coming of age with a celebration that was nothing short of a corker, complete with pomp, pageantry, and a dollop of good old-fashioned inspiration.
The event boasted a guest list longer than your arm, featuring a veritable who’s who of the business world: Sri Sajjan Bhajanka (Century Ply Chairman), Sri Sajjan Bansal (Skipper Ltd MD), Sri Ashok Todi (LUX Group CMD), Sri Sunil Agarwal (Founder and Director of New Town School), R S Goenka (Emami), along with N G Khaitan, Subhash Murarka, Ashok Gupta, Mahendra Agarwal, Ram Krishna Goyal — and if that weren’t enough to cause a slight bottleneck at the entrance, several key figures from the Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan and Salt Lake Shiksha Sadan management also graced the occasion, including Lalit Beriwala (Chairman), Sanjay Agarwal (Secretary), Radhey Shyam Gupta (Treasurer), and Madhusmita Bezbaruah (Principal), to name but a few.
The pièce de résistance was a rousing performance by the celebrated motivational speaker Mr Sonu Sharma, who left the audience raring to go and ready to take on the world — or at the very least, Monday morning.
The 21st Foundation Day was, by all accounts, a tip-top affair, embodying Salt Lake Shiksha Niketan’s steadfast commitment to offering a holistic education. The school, rather like a wise old owl, knows that life’s not all about swotting for exams — it’s also about growing into well-rounded, future-ready citizens who know their onions when it comes to character, compassion, and a spot of elbow grease.
