Join the “Jago Nari Jago Bahni Shikha” rally on 17th October at Karunamoyee, as women from all walks of life demand justice and accountability from the State Government and CBI. The protest calls for answers regarding delayed justice and recent incidents in Krishnanagar and Purulia.

In a world where justice is often portrayed as blind, it seems she’s taken a bit of a snooze, and it’s high time we gave her a good shake. Today, countless women are rallying for a cause that has been simmering for far too long. The rallying cry is loud and clear: “How much longer? Justice delayed is justice denied.”

The march is set to take place on 17th October at 1 PM at Karunamoyee, led by the “Jago Nari Jago Bahni Shikha” movement. Women from all walks of life are being called to assemble and join forces in demanding answers from both the State Government and the CBI.

The spark behind this protest? The CBI has, quite remarkably, confirmed the findings of the state police’s report, which has formed the basis for hearings day after day in the Supreme Court. Yet, despite all this, the rightful demands of millions for justice remain unfulfilled. It’s a classic case of “kicking the can down the road,” and the patience of the people is wearing thinner than a teabag after a second brew.

To add fuel to the fire, recent incidents in Krishnanagar and Purulia have further fanned the flames of discontent. These tragic events have been included in the broader protest, with slogans now ringing through the streets: “How much longer? Justice denied. State Government – CBI, give us answers.”

For those unfamiliar with the background, the issue has been dragging on for what feels like a lifetime. The people are fed up with the endless rounds of hearings and inquiries that seem to go nowhere. It’s a bit like being stuck in a queue at the post office, only to find out they’re closed for lunch.

At the heart of it all, this movement is about more than just legal proceedings – it’s about the growing frustration of those who feel their voices are being ignored. Women, in particular, are rising to say that they will not sit quietly while justice is postponed indefinitely. This rally is their way of saying enough is enough.

As the rally time approaches, the mood is growing determined, and the message is crystal clear: justice cannot wait any longer. So, if you find yourself free today, pop down to Karunamoyee at 1 PM, because when justice is stuck in first gear, it’s up to the people to push it forward. The fight for accountability is on, and as the protesters will shout, “How much longer? No more delays – answers now!”
