Join Deepsha on a surreal 3 AM adventure where she trades Bollywood dreams for a real-life encounter with cricket legend Sourav Ganguly, thanks to INNOVERV ‘s tech-savvy event at the Biswa Bangla Convention Center.

So, picture this: it’s 3 AM, my biological clock is still on a night shift, and I’m living the ultimate Bollywood dream. Ranveer Singh, looking hotter than a tandoori chicken, is about to make me his Mastaani. Can you believe my luck? But then, reality hits harder than a Bhuvneshwar Kumar Yorker. My phone rings, shattering my filmy fantasy and I find that I’m invited to meet the God of Cricket himself, Sourav Ganguly! My heart was doing a Dhoni-esque helicopter shot. I mean, who wouldn’t be? But then, the Gen Z in me kicked in. I planned outfits that would make Sabyasachi green with envy, practiced my ‘oh-so-casual’ celeb pose, and even charged my friends a bomb for autographs. It felt good to think how my Instagram fame was about to shoot high.

Fast forward to the event, and I’m dressed to the nines, feeling like a million quid. INNOVERV, this up-and-coming tech startup, was running the whole show. They’re aiming to be the next big thing in the tech world, with the ambition of a young Virat Kohli. Their focus is on automation and digital transformation, which frankly left me with a sense of profound ennui. However, their presentation was surprisingly engaging—full of flashy slides and tech jargon that made you feel clever, even if you didn’t understand half of it. But let’s be honest, I was there for one reason only – Dada. The man could turn a dull PowerPoint into a gripping commentary box drama. His story was more inspiring than a KKR victory. I mean, who knew building a successful company was like captaining the Indian cricket team?

The Biswa Bangla Convention Center was buzzing with energy. After Dada’s captivating speech, a star-studded panel discussion took place. Industry bigwigs like Partha Chakraborty, CEO of INNOVERV, Anindya Mitra, Chairman of the Indian Chapter, and tech experts Ambarish Dasgupta, Ashidhara Lahiri, SAP architect and author, and Jo Walley joined the conversation. Even Dona Ganguly graced the event with her presence.
But here’s the kicker, despite being surrounded by luminaries from the tech industry I didn’t get a selfie with any of them, no autographs, and not even a handshake. It’s like Dada stole my spotlight and ran off with it, leaving me hanging like a Rashid Khan googly. Mr. Ganguly, I believe you owe me a substantial debt. Three autographs, two selfies, and a primetime slot on Dadagiri are non-negotiable.

As for INNOVERV, your event was undeniably impressive. Perhaps a front-row seat to your next gathering would be a suitable consolation prize.
