Women Reclaim The Night

A devoted foodie with keen interest in wild life, music,…

78 years into independence yet we have failed to protect the women of our nation. Join the march tonight to demand answers and standing against the atrocities committed against our daughters, sisters, and mothers. Let your voice be heard tonight
Here we stand, 78 years into our independence, yet we’ve utterly failed to safeguard her. She remains a mere commodity, she endures torment, she is a perpetual victim, and yet, she remains silent. She is the woman of our nation. But no longer. Enough is enough. It’s high time we roused ourselves and let our fury be known. Let us unite and stand against the atrocities committed against women.
Leaders of our country, it’s time you faced the music. You’ve failed to provide us with decent living standards, and we stayed mum. You failed to put food on our tables, and we stayed mum. You failed to educate us, and we stayed mum. You failed to shelter us, and still, we stayed mum. But now, you’ve failed to protect our daughters, sisters, and mothers, the women of our country. We shall stay silent no more. YOU OWE US ANSWERS. Why?
Why is a woman still not safe, even within the confines of her own home?
Why did you fail to protect the young doctor at R G Kar?
Why was a veterinary doctor gang-raped in Hyderabad?
Why did you fail to protect Nirbhaya?
Why was a tribal girl raped while in police custody in 1972?
Why are the rapists of Bilkis Banu walking free?
Why was a 19-year-old Dalit girl gang-raped in Hathras?
Why was Asifa Bano gang-raped?
Why is Ram Rahim walking free?
These are but a few of our questions out of the many we have. It is time for you to answer.
COME ONE, COME ALL, AND LET YOUR ANGER BE HEARD TONIGHT.
