The deep amber coloured rough gem is considered to be the largest and the most ancient uncut diamond (236 carats) mined so far.

The mine belongs to the ALROSA Group, which says it is studying and evaluating the gem.

The world famous Koh-i-Noor was mined in medieval times in the Kollur Mine in Andhra Pradesh, India.
