Amit Kumar’s superhit songs to be back with new age music
Kishore Kumar once sang Koi Lauta de Mere Bite Huye Din. It’s all about celebrating those bygone days. The songs sung by the yesteryear singers are timeless and evergreen. Legendary artist Amit Kumar has started a new series with the cover version of his own songs. These songs were extremely popular in the seventies, eighties and even the nineties. The compilation is based on the requests of fans made on his fan page on Facebook. To increase the appeal among the new generation, these songs will be back with new age music arrangements.
In this context, Amit said, “Many fans have been requesting their favourite songs of mine. Performing on stage is not happening in this current scenario for over a year and a half. So planned to choose my own songs from the requests that everyone wants to listen to and re-recorded some those songs once again. Now everyone is enjoying listening to them with new age sound. At first, I did Bade Acchhe Lagte Hai, then Roz Roz Ankhon Tale. The first song got two lakh views on YouTube, the second one a lakh views on merit. There are also some stories behind the songs too.”
Incidentally, the official fan page has crossed one million subscribers on merit recently. The hit song from Shailab, Mujhko Yeh Zindagi, Lagti Hai Ajnabi is just released and has already created a flutter among his fans. It is written by Javed Akhtar and music is by Bappi Lahiri.
