Prabha Chettri Marches to the Miss Grand India 2025 Finals

Prabha Chettri from Yangang, South Sikkim, has been selected as a finalist for Miss Grand India 2025, bringing pride to her state with her grace, academic brilliance, and commitment to meaningful causes.

In a development that’s got all of South Sikkim chuffed to bits, Prabha Chettri from the quiet hamlet of Yangang has bagged a spot as one of the official finalists for the prestigious Miss Grand India 2025 pageant. And truth be told, it’s not just her own star that’s rising – it’s a proper feather in the cap for Sikkim too, putting the state squarely back on the national beauty and fashion radar.

Now, this isn’t one of those flash-in-the-pan stories. Prabha’s journey has been a slow burn – the kind that simmers with hard work, talent and a pinch of good old-fashioned Sikkimese grit. It all started in the classrooms and corridors of Namchi Girls Senior Secondary School, where she first took a shine to the world of modelling and pageantry. From those early days of striking a pose and holding her head high, she’s come on in leaps and bounds.

You might remember her as one of the finalists from Miss Sikkim 2019 – a local affair, sure, but one that set the wheels in motion. Since then, she’s been ticking off milestones faster than you can say “catwalk.” In 2021, she turned heads as a finalist at the Sunsilk Mega Miss Northeast, bringing a touch of Sikkimese elegance to the big stage. Not one to rest on her laurels, she was also a state finalist in the Femina Miss India 2022 competition, representing both Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh. Most recently, she made it to the semi-finals of Glamanand Supermodel India 2023, where she earned plenty of nods from both judges and the crowd.

And just in case you thought she was all heels and highlighter, Prabha’s got a brain to match her beauty. With a BSc and MSc under her belt from the Central Agricultural University in Imphal, she’s clearly not just a pretty face. She’s the full package – brains, beauty, and a backbone to boot.

Speaking about her latest achievement, Prabha shared, “This opportunity is not just for me, but for everyone in Sikkim. I hope to represent our culture and beauty on a national platform.” And that’s the spirit – not just aiming for the crown, but carrying her roots with pride.

The Miss Grand India pageant isn’t just about glam and glitter; it’s got a real heart to it, with a strong emphasis on peace-building and humanitarian values. Prabha seems well up for the challenge – eager to use the spotlight not merely for sparkle, but to spark meaningful change and encourage young women across the country to chase their dreams, come what may.

So here’s wishing her the very best as she struts her stuff on the national stage. One thing’s for certain – the folks back in Yangang will be cheering her on, loud and proud.
