Panchayat Season 4 To Be Released On 2nd July

Phulera braces for chaos as Prime Video drops the first teaser of Panchayat Season 4, promising a riotous rural showdown between Pradhan Ji and Bhushan. With Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, and Raghubir Yadav returning, the series premieres on 2nd July.

Well, well, well… if it isn’t that time again when tempers flare, loyalties wobble, and Phulera’s dusty lanes echo with the thwack of political ambition — yes, Panchayat is back for its fourth season, and it’s promising more fireworks than Diwali at a firecracker factory.

Prime Video dropped the first teaser of the much-anticipated rural comedy-drama on Saturday, and it looks like the sleepy village is all set to stir from its siesta. Elections are on the cards, and in true desi fashion, things are bound to get messier than a plate of golgappas on a windy day.

The teaser sets the stage for a titanic tug-of-war between Raghubir Yadav’s Pradhan Ji and Durgesh Kumar’s ever-scheming Bhushan. And let’s be honest, if you’ve been following the show, you’ll know that even a Phulera election feels more intense than a Lok Sabha’s vote of no confidence — only with more buffaloes and fewer backbenchers.

Back in the saddle is the ever-exasperated Abhishek Tripathi (played with an equal mix of confusion and resignation by Jitendra Kumar), still trying to make sense of local governance and life in a village that runs more on rumour than reason. Neena Gupta returns as the formidable Manju Devi, still proving that she doesn’t need the official title to call the shots — classic mum energy, really.

Joining them are Faisal Malik, Ashok Pathak and the entire gang whose antics have kept audiences in splits (and occasionally in tears) since the series first took root in the countryside of our hearts. And yes, Deepak Kumar Mishra continues to steer this tractor of a show, ably assisted by Akshat Vijaywargiya, with Arunabh Kumar producing like a proud desi uncle checking mangoes for ripeness.

The fourth season, which began filming in October last year, is set to release on 2nd July — and honestly, it can’t come soon enough. With Panchayat having bagged the inaugural Best Web Series (OTT) award at the 54th International Film Festival of India, the bar is set higher than Bhushan’s ego after a chai pe charcha.

So, mark your calendars, sharpen your wit, and prepare for a season of small-town politics, large-hearted characters, and the kind of humour that tickles your ribs without needing a laugh track. Because when Phulera gears up for elections, it’s less about manifestos and more about who can shout louder and faster without falling off a bicycle.

As the teaser’s caption cheekily warns, “Phulera mein elections ki garma garmi shuru hone wali hai” — or in other words, brace yourselves: the countryside is about to boil over with more drama than a Sunday lunch at the in-laws’.

Jay ho, Panchayat! We’re ready when you are.
