Nagaland ’s Rising Football Stars Score Big

Five boys from the School of Football Nagaland have been signed by Dynamic Sporting FC, Bangalore, marking a significant milestone for the young footballers. Under scholarships, they’ll compete in leagues like the Double Pass Development League, thanks to their intense training and support from the academy.
It’s not every day that five boys from a remote corner of the country get signed by one of Bangalore’s premier football clubs, but that’s precisely what’s happened at the School of Football Nagaland. Nitova Swu, Talimoa, Lanunungkum (all Under-13), and Isheto Chishi and Kimendi (both Under-15) have been snapped up by Dynamic Sporting FC, Bangalore, sending ripples of excitement through the football community in Nagaland.
The lads, with their boots firmly laced and eyes on the ball, have secured scholarships with Dynamic Sporting FC. And if that wasn’t enough to make their parents beam with pride, they’ll be competing in some of India’s most cherished youth football tournaments. The upcoming Double Pass Development League, The Amateur League, and various Under-15 tournaments under the Karnataka State Football Association will see these Naga boys running circles around the opposition. It’s fair to say, they’re not just playing for fun anymore—this is the big league.
In fact, with these five new additions, Dynamic Sporting FC recently bagged the championship at the Blue Cubs Bangalore 2024. One might say the boys are already earning their keep! Of course, none of this would have been possible without the relentless training they received at the School of Football Nagaland. Special mention must go to their goalkeeper sessions, led by none other than I-League player James Kithan. It’s no wonder these boys can stop a ball quicker than you can say “goalkeeper’s gloves”!
The School of Football Nagaland itself is a bit of a marvel. Founded by former I-League player Kivi Zhimomi, with Managing Director Ason Chang Zhimomi at the helm, this independent academy is doing wonders for young footballers in the region. Their goal is not just to get these boys playing football but to truly prepare them for the grand stages that lie beyond the borders of Nagaland.
Their partnership with Dynamic Sporting FC ensures that these young talents are nurtured to their full potential, with no extra costs for training sessions, and they’re even kitted out with all the gear they need. In short, the academy is leaving no stone unturned in ensuring that these boys from Nagaland get a fair crack at the football whip.
So, as the boys prepare to take on the country’s best, we can’t help but feel a surge of pride. They’ve worked hard, trained even harder, and now it’s time to see them shine. With this much talent, one wouldn’t be surprised if a few of them find themselves donning India’s colours in the not-too-distant future.
For now, though, they’ve got a few matches to win. Let’s just hope the opposition’s ready—because Nagaland’s finest are coming, and they mean business!
