Independence day celebration “One World Fusion”

As the nation gears up to celebrate the 77th Independence Day, the Sangitanjaly Foundation, led by the dynamic Abhijeeth Bhattacharya, is all set to present the eleventh season of its much-anticipated musical extravaganza, One World Fusion. Scheduled for the 14th of August at Rabindra Bharati, Hyderabad, this gala concert promises to be an evening of unparalleled musical delight, blending the best of Indian classical and Western melodies.
At the heart of this celebration is Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee, a distinguished Grammy jury member from India and a recipient of the prestigious GiMA award. Known for his innovative fusion music, Pandit Mukherjee has curated this event alongside the maestro Abhijeeth Bhattacharya. The concert will feature an extraordinary ensemble of musicians, including Grammy award-winning Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, celebrated Bollywood singer Vinod Rathod, the ace trumpeter Kishore Sodha, the versatile singer Ujjayinee, and other renowned artists.
The evening’s performances will pay homage to India’s rich musical heritage while pushing the boundaries of traditional forms. Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt and Pandit Prodyut Mukherjee will set the tone with a captivating rendition of Indian classical music, weaving together intricate ragas and rhythms. Following this, the audience will be treated to a unique segment titled “Rhythm Sensation with Bollywood Unplugged,” featuring the soulful melodies of R.D. Burman, brought to life by Kishore Sodha’s trumpet and Ujjayinee’s vocals. Vinod Rathod, along with Chandni Mukherjee, will then take the stage to perform some of his iconic film hits, including memorable tracks from Baazigar and Deewana.
The grand finale promises to be a truly patriotic experience, as all the artists unite to perform A.R. Rahman’s iconic composition “Vande Mataram,” followed by the national anthem.
