Housefull 5 Teaser Launched

As Housefull celebrates its 15th anniversary, the teaser for Housefull 5 promises a riotous return with Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, and Riteish Deshmukh – but with a killer twist!

Folks, Bollywood’s most bonkers brigade is back, and they’ve brought along a whole new level of pandemonium—with a pinch of murder, no less. As the Housefull franchise celebrates a whopping 15 years of cinematic silliness on 30th April, the makers have decided to throw in a teaser that’s equal parts laugh-out-loud and what-the-heck-is-going-on.

Directed by Tarun Mansukhani—who seems to have drawn up the blueprints for an absolute madhouse—Housefull 5 is being touted as a “killer comedy,” which sounds suspiciously like someone’s taken the whole slapstick-meets-suspense genre out for a joyride. Imagine Scooby-Doo in Versace, with a desi twist.

The teaser has hit social media like a cricket ball through your neighbour’s window—unexpected, chaotic, and impossible to ignore. As the camera swooshes across opulent sets, absurd scenarios, and more stars than you’d find in the Milky Way, fans are treated to a cast list so long it could wrap around Buckingham Palace twice. We’re talking Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan (back from his sabbatical from the series), Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, Nargis Fakhri, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Nana Patekar, Chitrangada Singh… and we’re only halfway through the guest list.

Honestly, with that many people on screen, one wonders if there’s enough screen to go around. It’s not so much an ensemble cast as it is a full-blown family reunion—with a few gatecrashers, an impromptu dance sequence, and probably a missing diamond or two thrown in for good measure.

But what truly tickles the fancy this time is the new plot twist: there’s a killer on the loose. Now, in most Housefull films, the killer is usually logic—but this time it seems we’re in for a proper whodunnit, served alongside the usual fare of mistaken identities, elaborate disguises, and at least one character getting smacked with a frying pan.

The production house Nadiadwala Grandson posted on social media, “15 Years Ago Today… The Madness Began! India’s Biggest Franchise is back with the 5th instalment, and this time it is not just chaos and comedy… but a KILLER Comedy!”—because clearly, subtlety was last seen boarding a flight out of Mumbai.

Directed by Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film marks the joyful reunion of the trio Akshay, Riteish, and Abhishek, last seen together in Housefull 3. While Akshay and Riteish have been as constant as aunties at an Indian wedding buffet, Abhishek’s return adds a dash of nostalgia and enough charm to keep the ladies (and their mums) swooning.

Housefull 5 hits cinemas worldwide on 6th June 2025, just in time for the summer holidays—because nothing says ‘family fun’ quite like absurdity, accidental death gags, and a murder mystery involving 17 Bollywood icons and possibly a parrot with a secret.

All in all, if you like your comedy loud, your plot lines ludicrous, and your logic left at the door, this fifth instalment is set to be a proper knees-up. Just don’t forget to bring a magnifying glass—you might need it to solve the mystery, or at least to spot your favourite actor among the star-studded crowd.

Care for a cheeky prediction—who d’you reckon the killer is this time?
