Anirban Bhattacharyya, known as ‘Andy,’ boasts over two decades of extensive experience in steering strategy, risk management, research, development, and the execution of cutting-edge transformation initiatives. His expertise spans various domains, including supply chain, industrial IoT, and sustainability.
After completing his engineering studies at Birla Institute of Technology and Science, India, Andy pursued an MBA at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, specializing in strategy and marketing.
Throughout his career as an executive consultant at renowned global corporations such as Blackstone, Quantum Black/McKinsey, IBM, Capgemini, and KPMG, Andy played a pivotal role in integrating business and technology through models like “As a Service.” He collaborated with leading cloud providers such as AWS, Microsoft, GCP, and IBM Cloud stack, driving innovative go-to-market strategies like “Pay as you Grow,” “Risk Sharing,” “Consumption Model,” and “Rental Data and Loyalty.”
In 2018, Andy founded Amplo Global Inc. (www.amploglobal.com), a company at the forefront of design, data, and AI-enabled sustainability risk management. The firm focuses on shaping risk strategies and maturity readiness for organizations navigating or embarking on their ESG journey. Andy has provided strategic counsel to companies like Cognizant, Bain, Wipro, and L&T, offering expertise in ESG and Transformation. Additionally, he serves as an advisor for Hewlett Packard Sustainability for Green programs.
Beyond his corporate endeavors, Andy holds positions as an adjunct faculty at Rutgers University, teaching Design and Materiality in their MBA program, and a visiting faculty at ISB, Hyderabad, concentrating on Industry 4.0, Manufacturing Excellence, and Sustainability. With six Intellectual Properties in Industrial and Business Automation, he brings a wealth of knowledge to academia.
Driven by a passion for social impact, Andy established the non-profit organization surindia.org, dedicated to nurturing and promoting talented vulnerable young students interested in vocal and instrument-based music, along with education in hygiene, English, Math, and Bengali. He actively contributes to organizations such as ApneAap, Home of Hope, and Kolkata Foundation, guiding their strategy and operations. In 2013, he launched his own social startup, Surindia.org, and in 2021, he introduced his first arts and artisan startup. As a chief strategist in wellness, Andy advises on strategy and marketing.
