Today, I will be sharing just one story from the year 1828.

The Mysterious Boy

The history of 26th May takes us to the year 1828. One of the most mysterious incidents occurred in the city of Nuremberg, Germany on this day. A young boy, later named Kaspar Hauser, was discovered wandering the streets, bewildered and in a state of utter confusion. This encounter would mark the beginning of a mystery that captivated the imagination of people around the world.

Kaspar Hauser, estimated to be around 16 years old at the time of his discovery, appeared to have had no prior contact with civilization. The circumstances surrounding his appearance in Nuremberg were shrouded in mystery, as there were no clues as to his origins or how he ended up in such a state.

The discovery of this feral child quickly garnered attention from both the public and the authorities. Despite the challenges he faced, he gradually learned to communicate and acquired basic social skills.
